ONE VOICE – BECKLEY
About This Office
In 2012, our Beckley office was gifted to us by a local businessman and his wife who strongly
believed in our mission and vision. Little did we know at that time what kind of impact its
presence and location would have in our community. Uniquely, it is situated on the campus of
WVU Tech and it is within walking distance for so many individuals who are without
transportation and who are in need of our services. Before our door officially opened in April of
2013, we began serving the community through food and clothing distribution. In the summer
of 2017, we mounted a Blessing Box to the exterior wall of our front porch which serves dozens
of people on a daily basis with such basic essentials as water, snacks, and hygiene products.
Throughout the years we have hosted small group support meetings, held community outreach
events, provided resources for housing/employment/treatment, supervised many volunteers,
and we have forged partnerships with local businesses, churches, and organizations. It has been
from this office, that individuals who are on their journey in recovery, have re-entered the
workforce, they have been reunited with family, and they are contributors to society and to the
recovery community.
