VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

There are a number of volunteer opportunities at One Voice.  Here are some of the most common:

Community Outreach

Help us share hope directly with the community through outreach events, awareness campaigns, and resource fairs. Volunteers assist with handing out information, connecting with individuals and families, and helping our message reach those who need it most.

Roles include:

  • Setting up booths at community events

  • Distributing literature and resources

  • Engaging with the public about One Voice services

Support Group Assistance

Support groups are a core part of our ministry. Volunteers can assist facilitators by helping to set up meeting spaces, greeting participants, providing refreshments, and offering administrative support before or after sessions.

Roles include:

  • Group setup and logistics

  • Greeting and welcoming attendees

  • Providing childcare (if applicable to the group)

  • Assisting with sign-in and materials

Special Events and Fundraising

Throughout the year, we host special events, fundraisers, and community activities. Volunteers are critical in helping plan, coordinate, and ensure these events are successful and impactful.

Roles include:

  • Event planning assistance

  • Event setup, registration, and hospitality

  • Fundraising support and follow-up

One Cup Outreach (Coffee Outreach Ministry)

Join the One Cup team as we serve coffee and conversation to build relationships with individuals in the community. Volunteers help prepare, serve, and engage in uplifting conversations that can spark hope and connection.

Roles include:

  • Coffee preparation and serving

  • Relationship-building conversations

  • Assisting with mobile outreach setups

Office and Administrative Support

Behind-the-scenes support keeps One Voice running smoothly. Volunteers are needed for clerical tasks, database updates, mailings, and helping with general office organization.

Roles include:

  • Filing and organizing materials

  • Data entry and record-keeping

  • Assisting with newsletters, mail-outs, and resource packets

Workshop and Training Support

Help us prepare and deliver workshops and trainings by assisting with event planning, material preparation, and participant support. Volunteers play a vital role in ensuring these events run smoothly and effectively.

Roles include:

  • Workshop setup and breakdown

  • Preparing and distributing training materials

  • Greeting and assisting participants during events

Mentorship and Peer Support

If you have lived experience with recovery or supporting someone in recovery, you can be trained to serve as a Peer Mentor. Help others by offering hope, guidance, and encouragement based on your own journey.

Roles include:

  • Peer mentorship under guidance and training

  • One-on-one encouragement and support

  • Connecting individuals with resources and groups
